California Proposition 65 Compliance Policy
Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, was enacted in California in 1986. The Act requires that anyone in the course of doing business who exposes an individual in California to a chemical “known to the State” to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity must first give a “clear and reasonable” warning.
