Carbon fiber is an excellent material used in high-end slot car racing due to its exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio, which delivers superior handling, acceleration, and overall performance compared to traditional materials like aluminum or steel.
Like in full-scale motorsports, carbon fiber components in slot cars are not indestructible. While the material excels at resisting fatigue under normal racing loads and provides excellent rigidity, it can fail in crashes—such as wall hits, multi-car pile-ups, or violent track incidents found in competitive racing.
The original KCR-CFWC05 chassis design has set many track records. The latest revision as KCR-CFW05(b) is a result of development to increase speed and handling with the new multiple position floating or fixed body mounting design.
This replacement chassis plate allows us to maintain the proven performance of these chassis and keep the cost of ownership down for those who are misfortunate to crash causing a failure.
